Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana has since the beginning of the pandemic hosted numerous virtual-hybrid events. We looked into the list of the most notable ones among the web conferences organised and hosted by Cankarjev dom and its team in the time of pandemic.
This year, for example, the first SPORTO Online Experience conference that was organised in partnership between Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana and Sport Media Focus, d.o.o., virtually hosted 500 attendees. Cankarjev dom hosted the SPORT Online Experience via OnAir platform and, thus, brought one of the Europe’s leading events within the sports marketing and sponsorship industry live again, despite the pandemic, for the 17th year in a row.
In month of May and June, Cankarjev dom hosted three scientific conferences in two events. The 13th Slovenian Congress and the 36th Symposium of Opthalmology were held via onAir platform between 20 and 22 May 2021. Cankarjev dom welcomed 220 international participants online. While in June, the ENERSTOCK Conference, the 15th International Conference on Enery Storage that featured an impressive number of distinguished experts, hosted 200 attendees joining via online platform OnAir, to name a few of the conferences.
Last year, in 2020, Cankarjev dom hosted events like the 36th Slovene Book Fair, the first ever virtual version of the most important and popular book fair in Slovenia that has been organised annually at Cankarjev dom ever since 1993. The virtual version in 2021 welcomed 35,000 participants. Other notable events in 2020 were IBA Conference 2020, by International Battery Association, with 440 participants, and an international conference on support to companies for active aging in workforce attendeed by 390 international attendees. There were also two SPORT 2020 Digital Discussion events with 250 participants each, and many others. Among them also a hybrid event – the 5th Conventa Crossover, Festival of Events and Live Marketing, in tis first hybrid edition.
