400 Years of Cultural and Natural Heritage

Lipica Stud Farm is the central landmark of the Karst region and one of Slovenia’s most important cultural monuments. Beyond horse breeding, Lipica represents more than 400 years of cultural and natural heritage shaped by the close relationship between humans and horses. The unique story of Lipica began in 1580.

Lipica Stud Farm also offers a truly distinctive setting for event organisers. Spread across 300 hectares of green estate and home to around 300 noble Lipizzan horse horses, Lipica provides endless possibilities for unforgettable events. Carriage rides through majestic centuries-old tree avenues, white horses and the unique backdrop of the Karst landscape together create an almost dreamlike atmosphere for events.

Event organisers can host their events at Lipica Stud Farm in the Karst House, the manor gardens, on the seemingly endless Lipica pastures or at Hotel Maestoso. Lipica also offers comprehensive catering services for both outdoor events and gatherings hosted within the new Hotel Maestoso.

Lipica Stud Farm attracts not only horse enthusiasts, but also lovers of sports and recreational activities. Among them is golf, with the estate offering a high-quality golf course set within the Karst landscape. Golf Course Lipica stretches across undulating terrain dotted with centuries-old lime and oak trees and features nine holes. The course was designed in 1989 by the internationally renowned golf course architect Donald Harradine.
