RUSTIC WINERY
La Sclusa is a winery located in the hilly area of Spessa, south of Cividale, a picturesque Latin-Lombard town in the heart of Friuli. A company nurtured by the passion of four generations. Calcareous clay-based soil is typical of the area of Colli Orientali del Friuli, famous for the production of white wines, but not just them.
Corte San Biagio is a farmhouse which takes the name of the hill where it is located, called Monte San Biagio. It was built by carefully renovating an old farm while preserving its old rustic style, also typical of the surrounding area.
The winery is located in the heart of Colli Orientali del Friuli, a relaxing place characterised by a family atmosphere. Corte San Biagio is surrounded by a picturesque landscape, vineyards, olive trees, woods and natural parks. On the hill overlooking the valley, there is the old Abbey of Rosazzo, where Benedictine monks continued to grow vines and olive trees during the dark centuries of the Middle Ages. The winery is a unique venue for wine incentives and tastings.
