In the footsteps of Austro-Hungarian elegance

In Dobrna, Slovenia’s spa with the longest tradition, stands the impressive Spa House, dating back to 1624. The hall of the Spa House is distinguished by its refined historic interior, shaped by centuries of tradition and offering an unforgettable experience in a truly grand setting.

The development of the spa was largely influenced by Franc Ksaverij Kajetan baron Dienersberg, who acquired the estate in 1814. In the same year, he wrote enthusiastically to a friend in Graz: “Believe me, dear friend, I have seen much of the world, yet this is the place I had dreamed of. These heavenly beneficial thermal springs fill me with strength and thoughtful peace.” In 1820, Baron Dienersberg also laid out the chestnut avenue that connected the spa complex with the nearby settlement of Dobrna.

The hall within the Spa House offers excellent acoustics and can accommodate up to 200 participants in a theatre-style layout. Various alternative seating arrangements are also possible, including classroom-style seating for up to 100 participants, as well as different banquet table configurations.

The venue is ideal for seminars, gala dinners, meetings, celebrations, banquets, as well as a variety of business and social events and performances. The pavilion in front of the Spa House also serves as the official setting for the civil part of wedding ceremonies. On the ground floor of the Spa House, Terme Dobrna offers the possibility of organising private parties with catering services and live music. The spaces can accommodate up to 130 guests.
