Exclusive interview with Jan Oršič for Conventa TV
One of the novelties of the 11th Conventa Trade Show was the Conventa TV studio, where one of our journalists did on-the-spot interviews with some of the participants and partners of Conventa. Interesting 5-minute videos were created, posted on Kongres Magazine’s Youtube channel. One of them was with Jan Oršič, Head of Convention Bureau at Ljubljana Tourism and a long time partner of Conventa Trade Show.

Ljubljana Tourism carried out a survey in 2018 on habits, expenditures and expectations of congress guests in the Slovenian capital. The survey re-confirmed that participants of international association congresses and other types of business meetings are among the most desirable visitors due to many multiplier effects and considerably higher expenditure.
Tourism experts listed best attractions, restaurants, and hotels
On the basis of 1.5 million of hotels, restaurants and attractions worldwide, experts have awarded Ljubljana with Expert’s Choice and TripExpert Best of Ljubljana accolades. Slovenia’s capital thus got enriched with 20 landmarks, 10 restaurants and 41 accommodation facilities boasting the titles of the best by Expert’s Choice.
Petra Stušek reappointed as the Ljubljana Tourism’s director
Petra Stušek, MA, began the second four-year term in the position of Director of the Ljubljana Tourism, where, as Tourism Ljubljana’s website says, “she will strive to further integrate the stakeholders of tourist interests at the local level – the public, private and civil sectors, and to apply modern methods and techniques of management and guidance.”
New hotel in Ljubljana, one among many announced
Slovenia’s capital will soon be richer for a new boutique hotel. The seven-storey hotel will be located in Ljubljana’s city centre, right next to the headquarters of the Slovenian National TV and Radio, and in the midst of all the most important happenings in Ljubljana but still in a bit isolated part of the centre so that the traffic and noise is not heavy.
